A fantastic first episode of series 5. The Girl's lost out to the Boy's in the cleaning task. Will this set a trend or will the Girl's fight back for next time?

I was disappointed on several counts the decision making of Sir Alan.

      1. he focussed more on the amount of money spent and less on what happened to the girls' team. It is bad to spend more but if one eans more, then a slap in the hand is all that is needed. Focus on earning is the key.

      2. The failure was in doing a poor cleaning job and not getting to do the 10 cars, which would have made them to win the contest. A superficial mention was made but not attacked with the same venom he did for spending on the stocks.

      3. Unless I was mistaken one team member of the boys team was inviting customers for the shoe polish but he did not dirty his hands - Sir Alan should have pulled him up on this and given a warning that no kudos for people riding on others back and if it happened the person would be fired even if he/she happens to be in the winning team.

As one menber had already left before the show commenced, Sir Alan could have been magnanimous if he had done all the shouting and then stated at the very end that 'this is a dress rehearsal and no one would be fired as one had fired himself before the show'. May be such elegance is not for this type of show.

Do these people have any idea of real world economics? The price the women wanted to charge for cleaning limos was plainly bonkers ... just think, could one person clean the cars in (say) 1 day? .... work out the cost at ~£10/hr and there is your ball park...

... and then Mona started telling the potential client that he was obviously wrong ... 2 big mistakes and she should have lost the business for either of them. She had no startegy and her tactics were wrong ... very lucky to stay

Sir Alan made the absoloute 100% correct choice. The apprentice is not only about who can effectiveley lead the team, it is also about team work. If you believe it is better to remain quiet than speak up when can effectiveley change the outcome of the scenario then you should get fired.
      Go sir Alan!!!!!!
