Candidate Profile
Shazia Wahab
"I'm a stubborn cow who wants to have the last word." Shazia Wahab runs her own business making and selling mosaic mirrors. Her employment career began as a sales assistant in Selfridges, and several roles in marketing followed, before she decided to become self-employed. Shazia thinks that she is underestimated and is desperate to prove her worth. One of eleven children, she believes she is a good communicator with lots of initiative, but worries that others may see her as aggressive, especially since what she's thinking is often revealed on her face. She feels that her arty image belies strong business skills. A strict Muslim, Shazia fasts throughout Ramadan. She is single and enjoys DIY and socialising through a social network group.
