Your comments on the Amazing Mrs Pritchard

Ally: I'm only 14 but I can see if nothing is done about global warming, something drastic and something fast then my future and my childrens future will be awful. It's called sustainable development, and so far we're not very doing very well at it! I wouldn't mind missing neighbours once a week and not going on my computer and not having a cup of tea once a week, just having the very necessitys of electricity...even twice or more a week, if I knew the world was doing it with me and that we were making a better future for us all. I feel as I'm young my points would not be listenend to...but SOMETHING must be done! I want a better world...I want to get people to open there eyes and help save it! Would you prefer a destroyed world in 10 years, or missing a couple of episodes of neighbours a week and your usual drive to work. I loved The Amazing Mrs Pritchard, best show on for ages, i really hope it's opened peoples eyes...I really hope our government will do something FAST about global warming, and my future.
Thank you! Please make more Amazing Mrs Pritchards, and please don't stop opening peoples eyes.

Lisa Holdsworth: What a fabulous series. Entertaining and thought-provoking with fabulous performances from all involved. More please!

Roger Pearcey: I think this drama shows just how unlikely it is for the ideals featured to become a reality. The awful 'cop-out' at the end of the final episode shows that in the world of politics there can be no squeaky clean government. Otherwise we would have enjoyed a satisfactory end to the series. Instead, we were left feeling cheated.

Laurie: What a thought-provoking, well-written and brilliantly acted series. There was not a weakness in the cast, and the writing was insightful and sensitive.
Special mention for the excellent music - not intrusive and always sympathetic to the action.
Just one gripe - what a dreadful cliffhanger to leave us on!

Declan: While I disagree with Gareth Butler's comment on the Scottish and Welsh Parliament and Assembly (Scottish Parliament, Welsh assembly), I think (really) that a party like the one portrayed in Mrs Pritchard would do the country a hell of a lot of good, and I agreed with (almost) everything said/done in the programme (however frustrating the ending).

Gareth: What a cop-out!

Chantal: i can't believe the series is over! i hope they do another one, it was left on a real cliff hanger! Ros' inner struggle was really played out well, she didn't want to break up her family but neither did she want to lie to the British nation which was the one thing she had promised never to do.

neil mcpake: thought the program was excellent and what really surprised me was Linda, my amasing Mrs was able to understand Pritchards politics.

Debbie Lockyer: Well done BBC for recognising how the majority of us feel in the UK. It goes without saying that we are all fully aware that politics like any other walk of life is open to abuse, corruption compromise. What a compromising situation perhaps you should take a poll on what Mrs Pritchard should do next. Any way how long do we have to wait for the next series this is the best thing on the tele at the moment and a really good way of getting us all to think into politics a bit more.

Rick Gurr: I think politics should be this way good on the writers and the cast to potray this message to the dusty old system!

C Allsopp: This show has been thoughtfully made and put together creating an interesting and amusing peace of drama. I personally cannot wait to discover what will happen in the final episode. It has a great cast without a single weakness and has been thoughtfully written and well directed and cut. If only more dramas could be as thought provoking and as much fun to watch.

carolin: i think that this is a really amazing show.. the bbc have done a good job for once!! at alst we have some programmes on tele for both teenagers and adults. not only is it fun to watch but i think it is also very educationa dn i think that jane horrock , Janet mcterr and the gang have done a gr8 job!!! well done

H Robinson: Not sure that my hometown is the ideal place for a new parliament...What a weird thought! I think the BBC have a winner with this show though. Fantastic! It's really got me much more interested in politics and how the government works, which frankly, before watching the Amazing Mrs Pritchard I wasn't. Obviously I realise it's not quite like that in real life, but I think it's a brilliant way to show the kinds of things that go on behind the front door of Number 10. Love it!

Casper: when are we going to see a real life Mrs Pritchard in this country? I think if someone like her was runnin the country then things would be a lot better.

kirsty gardner: what a faboulous programme I am compleatly hooked

CM Christou: I would like to see European laws being put through parliament and the house of Lords before being make law in the UK becoming a reality. This TV programme is an inspiration to us all.

jane summers: I agree with all her policies! We need a Ros Pritchard, we need fair, accountable and open government. Now, more than ever.

Isobel: i think that although the program is mainly about politics you should develope more of the stories that are not about politics. for example the storyline where catherine is pregnent could have been an amazing story but it will probably only last a couple of weeks which i think is a real disappointment. if you had played it out longer would have been a very, very good storyline.

Brendan: Fab series, great to watch, Jane Horrocks and the cast are brilliant. Thank you

Christopher Lindsay: Your programme went all the ways and reached high places, well done!!!

Malcolm Johnston: Although the politics of the programme is a little 'OTT' by any standard, the acting, casting, pace and delivery is outstanding and makes for a really enjoyable evenings entertainment. The only thing missing within the family scenario is the element of love - something which may be conspicuous by its absence. I hope not, we'll have to wait and see the last episode for that one. As for Jane Horrocks, not only a brilliant comedienne, but also a consumate actress. Well done BBC.

C Wilshaw: I look forward all through the week towards this programme! Me and my classmates watch every week - if only there could be more episodes! It's great! If only she really was the prime minister! I really got to the heart of the programme and I think Catherine's great !

helen frances: Astounded that the BBC could put on such a terrible tv programme, I came across this by accident, watched 5 minutes and switched over to something less ludicrous!

Tess: It’s a pity that with an important debate like the EU you deliberately played to the sceptics’ gallery churning out popular yet false information. The Commission doesn’t make the law, it proposes it: law is made by the Council of Ministers (i.e. the national governments, including the UK Government) and the European Parliament – who are directly elected by you. A law on safety standards would never bring them down to the lowest common denominator – it would impose a legal minimum and leave stricter national tests alone. A Directive doesn’t automatically impose law – the end has to be achieved but it is up to the Member States to get there however they like, usually by amending their national laws or implementing new ones. Either of these are the responsibility of Parliament – so the usual scrutiny would apply. Even the number you used for the Directive was wrong; they always include the year…It’s been a great show until that – it really is a shame that you perpetuated the fears and falsehoods rather than explaining the truth.

Tom Trust: Amazing that the pro-EU BBC should have sanctioned the broadcasting of this drama. The very relevant criticisms of the EU and the way it governs us, highlighted in the "aircrash" episode, ought to make a few viewers sit up and take notice of the way that the three main parties have consistently blindfolded the electorate to the aims of the EU. Odd that Mrs Pritchard's party should have adopted one of the United Kingdom Independence Party's colours for its campaign. I can only assume that the drama will end in utter failure by the Purple Alliance in an attempt to show the viewer that a properly democratic government, such as UKIP demands, isn't actually such a good idea, in an attempt to head off UKIP's aim to get the UK out of the EU.

J. Kirchner: What a wonderfully fresh idea! A Drama series that not only makes one laugh but also think! I enjoy every bit of this series and can only wish politics could take this fresh new twist so voting could finally make some sense! Not just in Britain, but also in my home country Holland!

Austin Lane: I do wish you had bothered to actually look at the work of the European Scrutiny Committee before trying to lampoon it this week - perhaps even reading a Committee report rather than Open Europe's take on the system.

The idea that the present ESC would have let an air security measure through without demanding answers from Ministers and a debate is ever so slightly incredible.

Still, everyone realises the whole thing's fictional and ironic and a bit of fun - don't they?

Lee: This programme has clearly shown that party politics does not represent the majority view of voters! All major parties hope the apathy of the majority will continue as it allows core voters the discretion to form government. Can we really say 30-40% turnouts represent truelly elected reps....I don,t beleive so. Let this programme be a catalyst for hope that more independant peoples, people will stand and make decisions, not based on party grounds but, what is best for the communities they serve. Would the BBC allow the independants use of the name purple alliance? Keep up the good work BBC, the issues bought to light in this programme are real and effect us all........

hilary Ralston: I'm really enjoying the great piece of drama from the BBC - of course it is - who else could do it better!

Elliot Cukier: this hould be really happening. But without all the deaths, trciks and lies.

anthnoy: this is what we need to do l hop that all of the uk are whach this and what to chage the we are living in the age .l have to say thack you to the person how com up with this progame.it is show that we can chage and move on to a age of god life in the uk

Gus: Just a shining example of how good TV can be. Such a shame the BBC seems stuck on this whole "6 episode" thing, its not like you are not getting enough money from what we are charged to make more. Wake up BBC.

poppy morris: Absolutely fab! Please more drama like this from the BBc! great script and cast... thought he series could be longer.

June Warnock: Fantastic series, great writing. If only the idea of this party would work, they'd get my vote. Jane Horrocks is fantastic, versatile, attractive and very talented.
