A Filigree Silver Belt

This came from Montanegro in 1915. It took local craftspeople 30 days to make. The contributor's grandfather carried it back from retreating enemey lines in the Balkans in World War One. The boat he should have returned on was torpedoed in the Adriatic, and sunk with no survivors. The contributor inherited it from her grandmother.
