Spitfire Pilot - Squadron Badge

Spitfire Pilot - Squadron Badge

This is a squadron badge,(worn on the breast pocket of a jacket), owned by my late father, Jack Aldred, who flew Spitfires with 274 Squadron. Each RAF squadron has its own badge and motto. 274 Squadron's motto was 'Supero' which means to conquer or overcome. The badges are beaufiful works of art and are fitting tributes to the men and women of the RAF.
