3 handled loving cup - 1880

Having been in Liberal politics for over 50 years, and been the Liberal MP for Leeds West, I have a great feeling for political history and am greatly moved by the remarkable way our ancestors often chose to commemorate significant milestones. This is a three handled loving cup made by Royal Doulton to commemorate the unique election, 130 years ago, when every constituency in Yorkshire returned a Liberal MP. I enjoy having it on my mantlepiece as a great piece of English pottery that reminds me of a halcyon political moment!
