This album was made for Jack Botoshaner who was captured by the German army on the beach at Dunkirk in 1940. He was a prisoner in Poland (Stalag XXA) and was repatriated to the UK in 1943 on medical grounds. The album was made by his fellow prisoners for him to take home as a keepsake.
