Bound copes of English Mechanics

The father of Audrey Batchelor from Hemel Hempstead in Hertfordshire collected English Mechanics magazines, his collection got so big he decided to bound some of them into books. These books are special to Audrey because her father used the technology he read about in the magazines to bound the books. Therefore, these books remind Audrey of her father's crafsmanship. Audrey also notes how technolgy has improved since 1935 when the books on how to mend and make things were published.
