Bronze book hasp

Contributed by anne

Bronze book hasp found at little Dunagoil, Bute. Little Dunagoil was occupied from the Bronze Age through to Medieval times. It was fairly close to the site of St Blane's monastery and church. The style of the book hasp would suggest that it was made in the 8th century AD.
