The Knowles Challenge Cup - unique?

This is the Knowles Challenge Cup awarded to my Granddad Joseph Cooper when he was in the Queens own Yorkshire Dragons. It was awarded each year for being the best turned out and he won the trophy three years in a row and was given the cup to keep.
We believe it is unique. It is solid silver and very heavy with fine detail including a horse and rider on the trophy lid.
Any help learning more about the history of the trophy would be wonderful.

It sadly has a little damage in the lid doesnt quite sit properly on top. I was thinking of having it restored but dont have a clue how to go about this.

Thank-you for looking!
