This is a medal from 1914 to 1919. It was owned by a Grandfather of a boy in our class. It says on it 'The Great War of Civilisation'. On the other side there is an angel which apparently appeared to the soldiers during a battle. The medal is small, made of bronze and can fit in the palm of your hand. It was issued as a celebration of the end of World War One.
