Michael says - as part of our family history, I have a Gretna Green marriage certificate dated 27th March 1830 for what would have been my Great,Great Grandparents. Elizabeth Tabart's family were due to go to Tasmania and her father refused to give his permission for her to marry Charles Davison and so they eloped!
