Inspector Vardy was an Inspector of Police in Buxton (Derbyshire) in the early 1900's. These are his keys (desk, cabinet?) from that period. We still use one for a safe box even now! He worked in Buxton, Long Eaton and Baslow during his Derbyshire service and was born in Blackwell, nr Alfreton (Derbyshire)
