This item depicts the famous story of Alexander the Great and Bucephalus, the horse that was scared of its own shadow. Alexander tamed Bucephalus by riding it directly into the sun to eliminate its shadow and rode his mount to many a victory. The contributor inherited this treasured item from her father.
