Wade one man Drag Saw

I am part of the Luton Hoo Walled Garden Project volunteer team based in Luton. Bedfordshire, see www.lutonhooestate.co.uk/Walled_Garden.html. In the grounds of the estate we found a mechanical saw, which on cleaning it we established that it was manufactured by R. M. Wade, Portland, Oregon, USA. The drag saw has been modified with two cart wheels added presumably for ease of transport around the estate. The drag saw is complete and in very good condition except for the ignition system and fuel tank which are missing. The saw was used to cut trees to specific lengths once they had been felled. The saw was a big improvement over the two man hand held saws used previously.
