Porcelain Ribbon Plate

Porcelain Ribbon Plate

This ribbon plate was made, probably on the continent in the early 1920's and would originally have been part of a larger set including sandwich plates. The plate is decorated in gold and shows the image of 'Wesley' preaching from his father's tomb at St Andrews Church in Epworth.

The contributor, an Epworth resident, bought this item to add to her ribbon plate collection at a local sale in Scunthorpe, and also because of the connection to Epworth and the Wesleys.
