2000 built originally. To be used inevent of a bomb dropped from USSR during the Cold War. Full title is 'Self Propelled Mobile Pump'. To go out in convoy of about 40 to pump water to each other in relay to get water into the bombed area. Also to assit with the fire fighting. Convoy accompanied by a command vehicle and pipe carriers. This particular vehicle used in 2002-3 fireman's strike when it was based at Redditch with a RAF crew. It was never a Military vehicle, but as many soldiers were trained on them they are ofter mistaken as such. They came under the Home Office and then the office of the Deputy Prime Minister. It was 'Two Jags' who sold them all off from about 2005. They could have been so useful in pumping out in the Yorkshire floods and the recent floods.
