Changing fonts in Internet Explorer for OS 8 and 9

How to change the font style in your browser

Instructions

  1. Click on the ' Edit ' menu and click on 'Preferences ' or press ' Apple ' + ' ; '.
  2. If you cannot see a list of bulleted options under ' Web Browser ' click the arrow next to ' Web Browser ' to expand the options list as shown in Fig 1(No keyboard shortcut).

  1. Click on the ' Language/Fonts ' section with the mouse or press the down arrow to highlight it.(see Fig 2, below).

  1. In the ' Fonts and Size ' section change the size to your preference by clicking on the drop down box next to ' Size ' (no shortcut key available).
  2. Next click on the ' Web Content ' section or press the down arrow until it is highlighted (see Fig 1 above).
  3. Next uncheck the checkbox next to ' Allow page to specify fonts ' as shown in Fig 3 (No keyboard shortcut).

  1. Click the ' OK ' button with the mouse or press ' Enter ' , to return to Internet Explorer.

Note: If this does not work it could be because your computer settings cannot be changed due to local IT policies - contact your local IT support for further help.
