How to change your colours in web browsers for Linux

This guide explains step-by-step how to determine which version of your web browser you are running on a Linux setup. You may need this information for some of the How to guides on this website, as older versions of web browsers may have different commands, menus, etc than more recent versions.

Open Firefox.
Click on 'Help' in the menu bar or press Alt + H.
In the drop-down menu, click on 'About Mozilla Firefox' or press A to open the window shown in Fig 1.

Open Konqueror.
Click on 'Help' in the menu bar or press Alt + H.
In the drop-down menu, click on 'About Konqueror', or press the down arrow to highlight 'About Konqueror' and then press Enter, to open the window shown in Fig 2.

Open Opera.
Click on 'Help' in the menu bar or press Alt + H.
In the drop-down menu, click on 'About Opera', or press the down arrow to highlight 'About Opera' and then press Enter.
Note: In Opera 10.5 and later, if the menu bar is not visible you will need to select the 'Help' menu by clicking on the Opera logo (the big red 'O' at the top-left of the browser) and choosing 'Help' from the drop-down menu that appears.
