Tape based production is on the way out, and is being replaced by file based, or tapeless, production.
The change means more than simply switching formats. It is a cultural change for producers and self shooters. Adapting production workflows around tapeless formats means significant upheaval. Without the right training and infrastructure working tapelessly is full of pitfalls.
