Him & Her

The CoP Talk podcast is a special edition of the CoP Show recorded in front of a studio audience. Amanda Lyon talks to Kenton Allen, producer, and Stefan Golaszewski, writer, of BBC Three sitcom Him & Her.

Please note: this episode contains some strong language.

As Him & Her returns for its second series Kenton and Stefan talk about how it came about as a commission, from the pilot Young, Unemployed and Lazy to the hugely successful 'anti-romantic comedy' starring Russell Tovey and Sarah Solemani.

"A completely unique and original version of the boy-meets-girl story." – Kenton Allen

As well as discussing the setting of the sitcom and the levels of intimacy that the television camera allows you to achieve, Stefan and Kenton give us their thoughts on romantic comedies, the BBC Three audience, casting and whether or not you should see Becky on the loo.

The pair also tell us what is making them laugh at the moment.

Stefan Golaszewski cut his teeth as a writer whilst president of Cambridge Footlights and has subsequently  become known for his work writing and performing with The Cowards, along side Tim Keys, Lloyd Woolf and Tom Basden on stage, radio and BBC Four.

Multi award winning comedy producer Kenton Allen, former creative head of BBC Comedy and now chief exec of Big Talk Productions, has a long list of credits that includes The Royle Family; That Mitchell and Webb Look; Ideal and more recently, Rev., Him & Her and Show Me The Funny for ITV.
