About the BBC College of Production
The College of Production is part of the BBC Academy, the BBC’s centre for training
The College of Production website is a free site available to everyone in the UK who works, or wants to work, in radio, tv and online production. Our short videos, articles and podcasts provide informal training in core editorial, creative and production skills.
We’ve worked with presenters including Kate Humble, Radcliffe and Maconie, Jenni Murray and Chris Evans as well as the producers behind shows including Doctor Who, Strictly Come Dancing, Woman’s Hour and The Archers to bring you tips and advice. Whether you’re looking for detail on what different jobs involve or want to develop your knowledge of social media, directing or specialist filming techniques, our site brings you advice direct from production experts.
New material is uploaded every week, including our two regular podcasts. The CoP Show goes live each Thursday and features a panel of guests in conversation about specific production issues. Our CoP Talks feature the creatives behind hit shows, analysing how they brought those programmes to life.
You can keep up to date on new content by following us on Twitter or Facebook.
The College of Production also offers face to face training courses and these are available to non BBC staff. You can find information on all our courses and also on courses from other providers from Skillset. For information on jobs at the BBC visit our Careers site.
