Our flagship TV channel broadcasts a wide range of popular programmes across a range of genres including news and current affairs, drama, comedy and entertainment.

The BBC runs ten national TV services providing entertainment, news, current affairs and arts coverage for the whole of the UK.
Our output is available via analogue and digital TV, live online via channel websites and as video-on-demand via the BBC iPlayer.

BBC Two is a mixed-genre channel appealing to a broad adult audience with programmes of depth and substance. It includes the greatest amount and range of knowledge-building programming of any BBC television channel, complemented by distinctive comedy, drama and arts programming.

BBC Three is constantly innovating and experimenting to provoke thought and to entertain audiences from 16 year olds to 30 somethings – with a range of original comedy, drama and factual programming that celebrates new British talent and formats.

BBC Four’s primary role is to reflect a range of UK and international arts, music and culture. It provides an ambitious range of innovative, high quality programming that is intellectually and culturally enriching, taking an expert and in-depth approach to a wide range of subjects.

CBBC is a dedicated digital channel for 6-12 year olds, consisting of a mix of programming including drama, entertainment, factual, comedy, animation and news.

Educational and entertaining programmes for under 6’s are broadcast on our dedicated pre-school channel CBeebies.

BBC News Channel is a 24hour impartial and independent news service offering breaking news, analysis and insight. It provides fast and comprehensive coverage of local, UK and international events as they unfold.

BBC Parliament is the UK's only channel dedicated to politics. It shows debates and committees from Westminster, Holyrood, Stormont, Cardiff Bay and Strasbourg as well as political programmes from across the UK.

The BBC broadcasts a wide range of programmes covering arts and culture, entertainment, comedy, drama and nature in addition to a live international events on it's high-definition network, BBC HD.

BBC Alba broadcasts documentaries, music and sports programmes in addition to a daily schedule of children's programmes and local, national and international news and current affairs to Gaelic audiences in Scotland. It is available via digital TV and the BBC iPlayer.
