Operations Senior Management

The Operations Group is responsible for strategy, policy, distribution, property, legal affairs, fair trading and business continuity, including managing BBC buildings and major infrastructure projects.

From November 2010, Marketing & Audiences and BBC People became part of an expanded Operations Group.

Caroline Thomson, Chief Operating Officer

Caroline Thomson has responsibility for the BBC's policy, legal, strategy and distribution functions and responsibility for all the BBC's major infrastructure projects.

Lucy Adams is the Director of Business Operations, which includes Human Resources, Workplace and Safety & Business Continuity.

Richard Burdon, Human Resources Director, Finance and Operations Group

Richard Burdon leads the Human Resources team.

Karl Burnett, Human Resources Director, Future Media and Major Projects

Karl Burnett leads the HR team and is a member of the Future Media Board.

Kieran Clifton, Head of Strategy, FM&T

Kieran Clifton heads strategy for Future Media & Technology.

Rachel Currie, Human Resources Director, Employment

Rachel Currie is responsible for the leadership and management of the BBC's Employment team.

Clare Dyer, Human Resources Director, Vision, North and Nations

Clare Dyer leads the Human Resources team and is responsible for the overall HR direction and leadership to meet the medium to long-term strategic objectives for BBC Vision, BBC North and BBC Nations.

William Greswell, Controller of Strategy, BBC Vision

William Greswell is responsible for editorial and service strategy development for BBC Vision.

Andy Griffee, Editorial Director, Project W1

Andy Griffee is leading the project team responsible for the planning and delivery of the BBC's largest ever capital project.

James Hardy leads on communications for BBC News Group.

Sarah Jones, Group General Counsel, Operations

Sarah Jones provides legal advice to senior management and the BBC Trust, and manages and coordinates the BBC Legal division which includes the Fair Trading and Information Policy & Compliance departments.

Anne Morrison is responsible for the BBC Academy, the largest broadcast training organisation in the UK.
