Caroline Thomson has responsibility for the BBC's policy, legal, strategy and distribution functions and responsibility for all the BBC's major infrastructure projects.
The Operations Group is responsible for strategy, policy, distribution, property, legal affairs, fair trading and business continuity, including managing BBC buildings and major infrastructure projects.
From November 2010, Marketing & Audiences and BBC People became part of an expanded Operations Group.
