Reading is the new rock 'n' roll! BBC 6 Music brings you LAMACQ'S LIBRARY, a new book group aimed at people who are passionate about music. Each month Steve will pick a new great rock ‘n’ roll read. We're not just looking for books about music, or musicians' biographies, though we'll certainly include them. We're looking for those books that have inspired musicians, have been influenced by music, or simply capture the essence of the rock ‘n’ roll lifestyle. Our first pick is On The Road by Jack Kerouac; the literary hero of so many of our rock 'n' roll heavyweights. But we also want your suggestions for books that we should be reading! Tell us the title and short synopsis of the book we should pick and we'll publish the best below. |
