Adam and Joe's Biography
Adam and Joe

Adam Buxton and Joe Cornish met aged 13 at school in London, where they became best friends and started making stupid videos to amuse each other.

At 18 Joe went to study at Bournemouth Film School, while Adam became a 50s-DJing, bartending drifter, then went to Cheltenham Art School to study sculpture. Despite being separated by higher education, they continued their idiotic video-making enterprises.

In 1995 their submissions to Channel 4’s Takeover TV led to them being offered their own entertainment show. The Adam & Joe Show featured satires of contemporary pop culture and ran for four series. The boys went on to work on many other shows, both individually and together.

Joe has since hosted This Week Only on Channel 4 and Back Row on Radio 4. As a director, he worked on Channel 4 comedy shows Modern Toss and Blunder. He's recently co-written Ant Man, a film for Marvel Studios, with Edgar Wright and is writing another film for Film Four.

Adam has been concentrating on acting, starring in The Last Chancers, The IT Crowd, Time Trumpet and Rush Hour amongst others, as well as films Hot Fuzz, Stardust and Sundance hit Son Of Rambow. He is currently working on a pilot for his own show on BBC3.
