When New Zealand band Datsuns broke onto the scene over 10 years ago the music press hailed them as the future of hard rock.
The band released four albums in total and picked up numerous awards including NME 's Best Live Band.
Having been on a hiatus for several years, they're back with new members and recording new music.
"We have got a new song that we are going to put out just for free called Gods Are Bored," singer Christian Livingstone told 6 Music's Adrian Larkin.
This time they're doing it without a label, funding the marketing and promotion themselves.
They will be playing live at the Borderline in London on 6 August.
