Bjork is midway through a residency at the Manchester International Festival.

It sees her perform her new album, Biophilia, in full along with a number of old classics.

The Icelandic singer has created new instruments for the show including a Gamelest and a sharpsichord while the performance takes place in an old aircraft hanger in Manchester.

There is also a twenty-four piece Icelandic choir and the voice of David Attenborough.

The album will be released later in the year as a series of apps for the iphone or ipad.

6 Music's Elizabeth Alker spoke to Bjork about the album, live show, Manchester and which current UK artists she is listening to.
