Orchestral Basement Jaxx

Dutch musicians help rework dance duo's back catalogue

It's been 18 months in the making, but this week a new show from Basement Jaxx arrives in London.

Basement Jaxx Vs Metropole Orkest will see a Dutch orchestra tackle the dance duo's back catalogue.

The tracks have been reworked by Felix Buxton from the Jaxx and conductor Jules Buckley - who's previously worked with the likes of Arctic Monkeys and The Streets.

After a one off show in the Netherlands - it's on at the Barbican in London this Thursday and Friday.

 6 Music's Sarah Jane Griffiths caught up with Felix to chat about the project, the future of Basement Jaxx, and how they approached creating orchestral versions of their most famous songs:
