Ever since Radiohead announced that their eighth album, King Of Limbs, would contain a brisk eight tracks, fans have speculated that the band have a second album of material waiting in the wings.
The rumours were fuelled by the news that the group were releasing two new songs in support of Record Store Day this weekend.
But guitarist Ed O'Brien told 6 Music that those tracks were the last we'd hear from Radiohead's most recent stint in the recording studio.
"The Butcher is from the King Of Limbs sessions," he revealed. "Supercollider was recorded during that period and finished off after the album came out."
"There are [other] songs that we have started, that we never finished, but there's not like seven or eight finished songs waiting in the wings to be released now, or in the autumn, or something."
The 42-year-old also poured cold water on the idea that the incomplete songs would eventually see the light of day.
"When we start a new record, we tend to start afresh. It's kind of an evolutionary thing - only the fittest survive."
Record Store Day takes place this Saturday, 16 April. As well as Radiohead, there will be exclusive releases from Arctic Monkeys, Queen, Villagers, Regina Spektor, Gorillaz and Primal Scream.
"Record stores are some of the most important places for people coming together [and] choosing music that they love," O'Brien said, "so anything we could to help out in these very hard times, we wanted to do."

Oh.
So why did I bother ordering that King of Limbs special edition double LP thing?

Uh...maybe because Radiohead is awesome and it'd be a cool thing to have? Did you really expect there would be more tracks with the special edition? TKOL is their new album plain and simple. If you thought it was "short" "not complete" or "dissapointing" then I to believe you can cancel your pre-order if you so wish.
I for one think TKOL is brilliant and I cannot wait to listen to the vinyl when my special edition comes out!

You're right, it will be pretty cool, I'm sure. But it comes at a high price - and comes on two discs, so it's not an unreasonable hope.
Especially as the In Rainbows special edition came with a whole extra disc of songs!
