Why rock musicians are always reaching for the stars

Muse announced this month that they are looking to do a gig on Richard Branson's (Virgin Galactic) spacecraft and become the first band to play live in outer space.
They aren’t the first band to dream of space travel or to write songs about it.
6 Music's Elizabeth Alker has been looking back at the history of musicians' preocupation with all things extra terrestrial and has this report:
