Tame Impala say their second album could be ready by the end of the year

Aussie psychedelic garage rockers Tame Impala have told 6 Music the follow up to their debut LP Innerspeaker will be done by the end of this year.

The band play their last UK gig for a while tonight at Heaven in London and it hasn't been a bad year: they've supported MGMT on their US tour and will play a part in the Foo Fighters gigs in Milton Keynes next year.

6 Music's Sinead Garvan has been chatting to frontman Kevin Parker about hanging with MGMT and new material, but first where the name for the band came from:
