Elbow say the follow up to their Mercury Prize winning album The Seldom Seen Kid will be ready next year, and with themes of childhood nostalgia featuring heavily in the lyrics they've come up with a fitting name.
"The working title of the album at the moment is Lippy Kids," frontman Guy Garvey revealed to BBC 6 Music.
"It's quite a nostalgic thing. I've got a thing about growing up," he told Sean Keavney on the breakfast show. "Not needing to! But a certain period of your life when - well kids are called 'hoodies' these days aren't they when they reach their teens. I remember it being an amazing important time, so I've written a lot about that."
Guy says the band are a good three quarters of the way through the record now, and are feeling great about it.
"We're all buzzing off it. You have periods of nervousness and then you have periods of elation. And we're all buzzing off it at the minute."
