The Who frontman Roger Daltrey has admitted he would love to embark on a side-project with Led Zeppelin guitarist Jimmy Page.
Speaking to 6 Music’s Shaun Keaveny, the singer told us a supergroup would be a great idea.
“I’d love to do something, I’d love to do an album with Jimmy Page,” he said. “He needs a singer to drive him. I’m a great blues singer.
“I don’t sing the blues with The Who, but that’s what I used to be before Townshend started writing. I used to be a great blues singer.”

Daltrey is gearing up for the Teenage Cancer Trust gigs next month, an annual series which he curates to raise money for the charity.
The line-up features rock heavyweights Them Crooked Vultures, the first solo performances from former Oasis guitarist Noel Gallagher, Suede, Arctic Monkeys and Depeche Mode.
This year’s shows at London’s Royal Albert Hall culminate with a performance of Quadrophenia, The Who’s 1973 album, on 30 March.
You can hear that interview in full in Shaun Keaveny's breakfast show on 6 Music on Friday 19 March.
