Jermaine Jackson's plea
He says Michael was misunderstood, and should be respected as a human being
22 July 2009 - Michael Jackson's brother Jermaine has given an emotional interview with French TV about his brother's death. He said he wished people would see Michael as the person he was, rather than the media interpretation:
"He's the number one donor of charity around the globe, giving just every cent from his tours, giving it to charity."
"So to paint him to be this person that he's not it bothers me, it bothers my family, it bothers all of us."
"He was a person, he was a father, he was a brother, and they need to leave him alone."
Jermaine Jackson
"Leave him alone, stop the crazy names that they call him, what more do you have to do to make people realise he's a human being."
"His daughter said it all: 'My daddy.' He was a human being, he was a person, he was a father, he was an uncle, he was a brother, he was a son, and they need to leave him alone."
On drugs.
"I have never seen my brother have any different, absurd behaviour, any substances that would cause that."
"So to say these things, I don't know, I've never seen these things, so I would say 'no'."
On where he should be buried.
"I'm not sure if he's in Mr Gordy's crypt, or whatever it is, but I was totally against it."
"I fought to get him at Neverland; it's his work, it's his imagination, it's what he dreampt of and he had a dream."
"He imagined it and he brought it to reality and I just feel that thats where he need to be."
On the custody of his children.
"It's very simple when it comes to the children. The will is what it is, it's the will from my brother because that's the way he would have done it, that's the way he did it."
"My mother gets full custody of the children and the children will be fine, they're with my mother right now and my kids."
"Anybody that tried to contest this will on any level, whether it's with the executors, or whether it's with anything, they're not living out Michael's wishes."
