Artist Music Exchange deal means lower prices on European gig tickets
10 June 2009 - Live Nation has hooked up with artists heading out on European tour this year to offer recession-busting ticket prices.Headliners like The Eagles, Nine Inch Nail, Motley Crue and Lenny Kravitz are all taking part in the Artist Music Exchange to allow their fans to buy cheap tickets for more than 100 shows in nine European countries.
Tickets will be offered at the discounted rate from £15 at artistmusicexchange.com.

Chief Executive of Seatwave Joe Cohen says he's not surprised by the move but is confident the top end of the gig market is still flourishing because despite the recession, people still want to go and see the big name acts.
“What we’ve seen has been the big events at the high end of the market - the Michael Jackson’s, the U2’s, Green Day’s - haven’t had much of an impact,” he explained. “People still want to go to these big events.
“They are unique experiences and most people go two or three times a year.”
However, Cohen said it’s the up and coming acts playing smaller venues that are suffering in the current economic climate: “On the lower end of the market, the 10 to 12 pound shows, have been the hardest hit.”
