Super producer is set to head into the studio with the former Take That singer
04 February 2009 - Super producer Mark Ronson has spoken to 6 Music for the first time about joining forces with Robbie Williams on his forthcoming album. The former Take That singer is planning to head into the studio in spring to record his last album with EMI.
And Ronson confirmed that the pair are set to head out to LA to complete recording sessions for a song slated to appear on Williams' eighth studio album.
“That is a track I gave Robbie about two or three years ago when we were working on his last album,” he said. “He was always fascinated with it so it’s not really a new thing. I am planning to go out to LA so we can finish it together.”
The pair previously recorded three tracks together on Williams’ last album Rudebox.
The ex-Take That singer is expected to team up with Guy Chambers, who co-wrote Angels and Let Me Entertain You, and Manchester dance producers Soul Mekanik, for the record.
"We're trying to finish a song with Quincy Jones."

Ronson meanwhile, has confirmed that he will be heading into the studio with Amy Winehouse to finish off a cover version of Lesley Gore’s You Don’t Own Me for Quincy Jones.
“We’re trying to finish a song with Quincy Jones and hopefully we’ll get in the studio soon,” he added.
His comments come just months after the pair’s much-rumoured Bond theme failed to materialise because Winehouse was not ready to make music.
