Doves announcement

Mancunian trio back with fourth album and free download
28 January 2009 - It’s been four years since their third offering, 2005’s Some Cities, and Doves latest offering Kingdom Of Rustwill hit stores on 6 April.

For two weeks, you can hear a taster of the record on their official site, where the band are giving away a free download of the song Jetstream.

The much-anticipated record will be preceded by its first single, released on 30 March.  It's the album’s title track.

For 18 months, frontman Jimi Goodwin and co. have been shacked up in a farm house in Cheshire, working with their long-term collaborator Dan Austin, who co-produced all but two of the songs.

Winter Hill and 10.03 were completed with the prolific Radiohead and Stone Roses producer John Leckie.

They’ve also announced six comeback tour dates.

The band will begin the series of dates at the Warrington Parr Hall (March 12), before playing Middlesbrough Empire (13), Glasgow ABC (15), Coventry Kasbah (17), Portsmouth Pyramid (18) and finishing the tour at the London Forum (19).
