Pistols Add More Dates
Punk legends expand their comeback
26 Sept 2007 - The Sex Pistols have announced two more live shows, citing "phenomenal demand" for their latest comeback tour. One of the dates will be in Manchester, where the Pistols played a legendary gig in 1976 at the Lesser Free Trade Hall. This time they'll be in slightly larger surroundings; at the MEN Arena on November 17.
They've also added an extra date at London's Brixton Academy on November 12.
Meanwhile the surviving members of the band have been back in the studio together for the first time since the 1970s. John Lydon joined guitarist Steve Jones and drummer Paul Cook at Air Studios in London to re-record Anarchy in the UK.
But fans shouldn't get too excited: it was all for a video game. Armchair punks will be able to thrash along to the track on a new version of Guitar Hero entitled "Legends of Rock."
