View singer hospitalised

Kyle Falconer poisoned in Japan
27 May 07 - The View's singer Kyle Falconer was reportedly hospitalised with blood poisoning during the band's Japanese tour.

The 19-year-old contracted septicaemia from a blister on his foot, according to the Sunday Mirror. The paper reports that he was kept overnight and given a course of antibiotics.

The Scottish band are in Tokyo to promote their debut album, Hats Off To The Buskers. It made number one in the album chart in January.

A spokesman said: "Kyle should be back on his feet for their gigs next week."

Next month The View are due to tour Australia before heading to Glastonbury.
