Ibiza Rocks line-up

Arctic Monkeys and CSS play white island
14 May 07 - The line-up for this year's Ibiza Rocks gig has been announced, with Arctic Monkeys the big draw for the event. They play on 1 September.

Now in its third year, Ibiza Rocks will kick off with The View on 19 June at Bar M, Manumission's beach-side music venue.

Although the island is a favourite destination for dance music fans, the resurgence of indie rock in recent years has also spread to Ibiza. This year will be the biggest so far, with 40 gigs staged between 19 June and 11 September.

Andy McKay of Ibiza Rocks and Manumission said: "The bands we booked a couple of years ago as relative unknowns are now returning to headline as platinum selling number one artists.

"Perhaps in time people might consider the west end of San Antonio as akin to Camden. What's happened to guitar music has forced its way onto Ibiza and now I think it's going to take over."

Other bands playing this year include Kasabian (16-17 July), CSS (10 July), LCD Soundsystem (18 July), The Enemy (31 July), Mika (7-8 August) and The Fratellis (3-4 September).

DJs include Zane Lowe alongside Rob Da Bank and Mark Ronson. Ticket details for the gigs are to be confirmed.
