Radiohead deny deal

EXCLUSIVE: The band not signing with Starbucks.
28 March 07 - Radiohead have put paid to rumours that they're following in the footsteps of Sir Paul McCartney and signing for the new Starbucks record label; Hear Music.

Talk started when it was reported on the internet that someone from their management company was seen meeting with Starbucks officials in London recently.

"The rumour that they are about to sign with Starbucks is totally untrue."
But Courtyard Management have released a statement to 6 Music, denying the unlikely pairing:

"Radiohead are currently in the studio working on their next record. They are not negotiating a new record deal with anyone, and will not even consider how to release their new music until the album is finished.

"The rumour that they are about to sign with Starbucks is totally untrue."

Hear Music unveiled Sir Paul as the first signing on the label last week.

Did anyone really believe they would? And what's with these label hybrids? Can there be independent mentality within the massive resources and networks of corporations like Starbucks?
