Doherty for £100
Glastonbury bag a festival bargain
28 March 07 - Glastonbury organiser Emily Eavis says she's managed to secure the bargain of the year for this year's Glastonbury Festival.Babyshambles are playing a set at some point during the weekend, but she told 6 Music that their frontman will be doing an extra bit of work on the side:
"I'm talking about a one-off appearance from Pete Doherty.
"I just put Michael on the train, and we were in the taxi and I was talking to the agent; I agreed a fee of a £100 for a bit of a one-off appearance.
"People on Sunday afternoon will want to come and have a little look at Shirley Bassey""That's not what Babyshambles are getting for their festival appearance; this is a Pete Doherty acoustic set."

Michael Eavis also revealed a few more names for the line up today. Damien Rice will be headlining the acoustic stage along with The Waterboys.
And Dame Shirley Bassey will be playing on the Sunday, which Emily thinks will be a quirky highlight:
"She'll churn out a couple of Bond tunes; she's only doing a quick set. But, yeah, that'll be funny.
"Y'know there's always been funny moments; from Aswad in 1983 to Shirley Bassey, it's brilliant y'know.
"People on Sunday afternoon will want to come and have a little look at Shirley Bassey, won't they? It'll be brilliant!"
The festival takes place near Pilton in Somerset the weekend of 22/23/24 June .
