Maximo Park

Maximo Park leaked

New album online
15 Mar 07 - Maximo Park have become the latest casualty of album leaking.

The band’s highly anticipated second album, Our Earthly Pleasures, the follow-up to their Mercury Music Prize nominated debut, A Certain Trigger, is currently available to pre-order online ahead of its official release on 2 April, but has now been leaked in full on the internet.

Lead singer Paul Smith, who claims the new set is 'like Smashing Pumpkins crossed with The Smiths,' took the news of the leak his stride:
"I'd like to strangle the person who did it, and part of me says this is the way it happens these days."

“I'd like to strangle the person who did it, and part of me says this is the way it happens these days. People are online and searching it out and seeking it, and you can't do much about it. I'm philosophical about it."

The band are currently on tour in Europe. They return to the UK for a string of dates that kick off at Cardiff University on 23 April.

Our Velocity, the first single from Our Earthly Pleasures, is released on 19 March.

I have indeed found it, purely by mistake I must add! I wasn't a fan of their debut, but this album is fantastic! Stirling work chaps. I didn't download it, and will be buying the CD on it's release.
