Magic Numbers to headline

05 Mar 07 - The Magic Numbers are the first headlining band to be announced for this years Summer Sundae Festival.

Also playing at the Leicester bash are, Echo and the Bunnymen, The Pipettes, The Rumblestrips, Duke Special, Gruff Rhys, Kitty Daisy and Lewis, Tiny Dancers, The Whip, Ben Taylor, Richmond Fontaine and Cud. Many more big names are still to come.

The festival which started out as a one-day festival 6 years ago, has now grown to a national award –winning 3-day music festival attracting the crème de la crème of indie rock and much more besides.
Festival organisers Richard Haswell of De Montfort Hall and Rob Chalice of Coda said:

“We’ve come a long way in six years and we intend to keep developing Summer Sundae Weekender to give the bands and audience even more of what they want. Members of the public and critics alike have praised the laid back, friendly atmosphere that we have managed to create with an eclectic programme of artists.“

The early bird ticket offer will end Friday 9 March or earlier than this date if all of the limited tickets are snapped up! The dates for this year’s festival are Friday August 10 – Sunday 12 inclusive.

Early bird weekend tickets are priced at £75, children under 5 will go free, weekend tickets for under 16s cost £20, camping costs £5 per tent and disabled attenders are offered a 2 for 1 ticket offer.
