My Chemical Romance

Towers of London ejected

Band chuck fag at My Chemical Romance
16 Oct 06 - First it was Kasabian having a go at My Chemical Romance – now Towers of London have got into a massive row with them.

Things turned nasty when both bands turned up at an emo rockers instore gig in the capital last week.

Towers of London dropped into The Music Week here on 6 Music on Sunday, and revealed all to Imran Ahmed and Julie Cullen about what happened:

“We got invited down as it was free booze, so we went down there, and there was a slight altercation, you know with one of the angry American tour managers, took an offence to Dirk, when he flicked a cigarette at the tour manager.”

The evening ended early for Dirk Tourette as security guards ejected him from London’s Virgin Megastore on Oxford Street.

Many witnesses thought the cigarette had been aimed directly at the My Chemical Romance drummer whilst he was performing.

You can see more of the bands scraps when their documentary airs on cable channel Bravo this Thursday (19 October).
