Morrissey - a likely contender

Morrissey v Joyce

Morrissey claims Joyce was never hard up
01 Dec 05 - The ongoing feud between Morrissey and former Smiths drummer Mike Joyce is showing no sign of abating.

Joyce appeared on Marc Riley's Mint show on 6 Music on Sunday night to talk about some Smith's rarities he's put up for sale on eBay.

He recounted a tale of how he sold rare records in the 90s to make ends meet, saying:

"We can laugh at it now, but at the time it was terrible."

"It was about 10,12 years ago. I was going through a bit of a bad patch financially ... It was wonderful, I loved being skint and selling everything! We can laugh at it now, but at the time it was terrible."

Morrissey has responded with a 13 point statement on true-to-you.net  - detailing his side of the various legal wranglings between the pair over royalties.

Morrissey now says Joyce has always been well off and that now he is: "extremely wealthy."

He adds: "The point I wish to make is this: Joyce is not poor, unless, living as he does in the Cheshire green-belt, he lives beyond his means."

Morrissey has a lot of money. Joyce of course wants some more of it. Morrissey shoud have settled up at the time then they wouldn't still be arguing about this.

Mike Joyce - think where you'd be if you'd never met Moz in the first place, full respect to Morrissey!

All I can say is go Morrissey, Joyce is just getting greedy and bitter because moz is more successful than him
