Floyd reunion possible
Waters: Live 8 was like "putting on an old shoe"23 Nov 05 - Pink Floyd's Rogers Waters has been talking for the first time about wanting hook up with his old band mates again.
It follows the legendary group's one-off reunion performance at this summer's Live 8 Concert in Hyde Park - after more than two decades apart.
Waters, who's opera Ca Ira premiered in Rome last week, says he's keen to hook up with David Gilmour and co in the near future.
He said: "I'd be very up for doing a lot more. It was such fun. We went in and did some rehearsals, and the moment we plugged in for the first rehearsal, it was like putting on an old shoe."
But for the moment Waters is focusing on stage project Ca Ira, his operatic version of the French Revolution.
"I'd be very up for doing a lot more."
And he says he didn't really see any difference between writing classical and rock:
"Music is music. One's only responsibility as a musician or any kind of artist is to speak one's truth and hopefully invoke some kind of emotional response in your audience.
He added: "So whether you're painting on a palette that's bass crums and electric guitars or a symphony orchestra and chorus and soloists, fundamentally it's the same exercise."
Pink Floyd was inducted into the second The UK Music Hall of Fame at the Alexandra Palace ceremony last week - alongside fellow music veterans such as The Kinks and The Who.
