Pleased to see that others agree that Spiritualized were a bad choice to close the festival. The crowd reaction and the bass from other gigs ruined a stunning performance from an amazing band. You can't expect Sophie Ellis Bexter fans to appreciate this kind of music at the close of the festival.

I love Spiritualized but this was not the right ending to the Festival. It would have been much more atmospheric and better suited to the indoor stage. A little more appreciation of the crowd wouldn't have gone amiss either, it must have been an hour before Jason actually turned to face us and actually acknowledged we were there!

I am a massive Spiritualized/Jason Pierce fan and was slightly worried of the choice to have him close the weekend. He didnt disappoint in the least, after 3 days of sun, beer and fast food the last thing you want is a band that blows out your ear drums to take centre stage. We had enough up moments (magic numbers) to make this SS one of the best yet. Bring on next year, and the next Spiritualized album.

Thoroughly dissapointed with Spiritualized. Very talented, but for the final act on the main stage. Terrible choice. I had to leave to watch Seasick Steve after the' I want to take myself to heaven' line. No way do I want to listen to such a morbid singer to round off my weekend. I was at least hoping for some rousing Gospel singing but no. Keep you misery to yourself please Jason.

Having known Jason from the early days of Spaceman 3, did a couple of parties with them, i'm glad to see he's still enjoying music, and the variety which he used to listen too now, is more evident in the mature sounds he's performing.

Really looking forward to this... you know that no matter how the rest of the weekend goes, this'll be a stunning closer.

Looking foraward to Spiritualized at Summer Sundae. Although I'm not a big fan of the gospel angle, and I much prefer the hypnomonotony of earlier works, I think his current set show provide an excellent festival closer. I'd love if he did a hub session solo , as he has a beautiful guitar style and a stunning back catalogue.
