6 Music’s Marc Bolan Day - On Air Schedule

6 Music commemorates 30 years since the death of Marc Bolan who died in a car crash age 30 on 16th September 1977. Throughout the day on BBC 6 Music we gave you the chance to hear some rare Marc Bolan gems from the BBC archives including Marc reading some of his own poetry on the late John Peel' Radio show from June 1969.

There were also audio contributions from some of Bolan’s friends, colleagues and followers, including friends and fellow musicians, and his producer Tony Visconti. Plus some personal anecdotes and accounts from Alan Edwards Bolan’s publicist from the 70s and Martin Nelson Bolan’s former Radio plugger.
